The New Antimicrobials: Cationic Peptides

Since the discovery of penicillin in 1929, many bacterial strains have developed a resistance to available antibiotics. It has therefore become necessary to search for alternative treatments to bacterial infections. Cationic Peptides are a current topic of investigation due to their innate toxicity to bacteria.
