Just returning back from a professional science training workshop in Ibadan, Nigeria. This is part of the West African Biotechnology Workshop series, whereby our lab has been a principle participant for the past 7 or so years.

In general, the intent is to aid with the development of better African science infrastructure through the training of local personnel in molecular biology.

You can read about the first session here (originally published at Maisonneuve), but you can also check out some photos of the 2009 visit here.
