SCIENCE AND CREATIVE WRITING WORKSHOP FOR THE FIRST NATION COMMUNITY | AMBL

We’ve just had a chance to finish our first annual MSL/CEDAR Science Creative Literacy Symposia. This was a fun chance for students to develop connections between the two fields of arts and science. With this program, students will perform exciting scientific experiments in a top-notch laboratory on UBC campus, and reflect upon their learning experience through fun and imaginative writing projects.

Through this program we hope to be able to collect the children’s writing, and allow them the opportunity to read or perform their work at week’s end, as well as produce a collection of writing that will be made available in book form at a later date (this is via real time publishing services like lulu.com, and we hope to have the book ready by the end of the remainder of the CEDAR programs).

For more info, check out the blog that was created just for the workshop.
