Just a note to say that dates for the spring session of our molecular techniques workshop have been determined. They will be from March 16th to March 20th, 2009. Reviews from our previous session include:

“Overall – Excellent! David took care to explain very difficult concepts and fundamental chemical/physical interactions clearly. I would recommend this course to anyone wishing to refresh or learn molecular biology regardless of background.”
Dwayne N. Jackson, Assistant Professor, Department of Medical Biophysics, University of Western Ontario

“The workshop went far beyond my expectations. I now feel ready to introduce several new techniques to my lab, but beyond that, I will now be better able to teach my class in September. Dave is a fantastic teacher, and I can only hope that some of that will have rubbed off.”
Matt S. Ramer, Asoociate Professor Department of Zoology/Neuroscience, British Columbia Neurotrauma Fund Chair

“Excellent! So easy to follow, even an economist can do it!”
Joseph Jackson, Economist, Network for Open Science Innovation

“Great workshop, very interactive and hands on. Provide a good overview of the major molecular biology techniques. I feel a lot more confident with things like PAGE or PCR now.”
Vincent Tabard-Cossa, Post-Doctorate, Department of Physics.

Contact Dave Ng at db@interchange.ubc.ca or 604-822-6264 to register – full details on the molecular techniques workshop can be found here, and don’t forget about our Laboratory Bioinformatics workshop as well (running from Feb 16th to Feb 18th).
